- Effective temperature 250 °C;
- Thermal resistance 400 °C;
- Temperature of initial destruction 450 °C;
- Excellent “tribo” properties;
- Excellent electro-insulation properties;
- Very low level of flammability: fiber does not melt;
- LOI 30% min;
- High chemical stability / resistivity;
- Very low coefficient of fiber thermal expansion;
- High adhesion to the matrix polymer.
APPLICATION
Aramid pulp “Arselon” is an excellent reinforcing agent for friction pads of heavy vehicles.
Currently friction pads containing “Arselon” aramid pulp are being supplied to the leading Russian and Belarus truck producers. (Given examples are based on the knowledge we have.)
